Alpha 2: New sounds
The latest version of soundStrider is a smaller update that adds sounds to existing palettes. While the sun is high in the desert, players will encounter mirages that exude a mysterious warmth. Closer to the shores, foghorns can be heard in the distance from passing vessels. And with two new types of footsteps, walking through each environment is more varied than before.
The next release will add the Mainframe palette, a collection of computerized sounds inspired by hacking scenes in film and television. At the same time I’m also preparing for a Steam release in May. When that happens, folks here will receive external keys so they can enjoy their copies there if they wish.
I’m grateful for everyone who has playtested, purchased, or followed these updates. Thanks for your support.
