v0.4.0
S.E.A. » Devlog
Today I gave feedback to players’ movements, including:
- modeling the engine sounds as the product of controller inputs and physics
- designing how the engine transitions between normal and turbo modes
- designing how the engine sounds when catching air
- positioning the engine sounds in space
- implementing splashing sounds when colliding with an incline
- implementing smacking sounds when colliding with the surface after catching air
Spoiler Warning
- designing how the engine transitions from surface to underwater
- implementing a 3D directional cue indicating momentum while underwater
- fixing some issues with keybindings (e.g. Ctrl+W closing the Chrome tab)
For the next several updates I intend to work on spoiler-heavy content. Beware that those devlogs will otherwise be pretty light.
