Today I returned to full-time development through the weekend. I made some progress on world generation, sound design, and movement mechanics with this build.
- combining biomes into a unified world generator (disabled until bugs fixed)
- implementing footstep sounds while in bipedal form
- adding an engine whine sound when the exosuit is performing work
- improving physics related to climbing slopes and bouncing around
- various tweaks and fixes
Tomorrow I plan to continue this direction with more vehicle sounds and bug fixes. My hope is to resolve issues with world generation and movement so I can advance other aspects, including material spawning and outlining the crafting system.
